Manager, Strategic Sourcing

Overview

Company : Western Digital. The Commodity Manager shapes the company’s global supply base through strategic sourcing, supplier leadership, and cost management. This role develops category strategies, secures contracts, and unlocks supplier-enabled innovation to deliver measurable savings and mitigate risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain global commodity strategies and sourcing roadmaps.
• Lead supplier selection, RFI / RFP / RFQ, and negotiations for LTAs.
• Drive supplier segmentation, QBRs, and corrective action plans.
• Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and productivity targets.
• Identify and mitigate risks across capacity, supply continuity, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Ops, and R&D for innovation and design-to-cost.
