Primary Skills :
- Proficiency in SQL programming and database management systems for example Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL
- Good knowledge in SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio and SQL Server Reporting Services
- Ability to write stored procedure and SQL scripts
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language and classes
- Experience with Java framework such as Struts, Maven, Spring Boot or Hibernate
- Experience with development tools such as Azure, Veracode, Git, Jfrog, Eclipse and AppDynamics
- Proficiency in application console and IBM InfoSphere for deployment and configuration
- Ability to review and advise on application design best practice in both functional and technical
- Experience in supporting in Web and Windows applications
- Good knowledge with web technology (windows batch script, web service, API, JavaScript)
- Experience in both waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies
- Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in applications
- Experience and knowledge in Life Insurance domain is a plus
Responsibilities :
Design, develop and maintain Java-based application, and ensure the code quality, performance, and accuracyTroubleshoot and debug java applications to fix the issues and provide permanent solutionStay up to date with the latest java technologies and perform impact assessmentDesign, develop and maintain SQL databases and stored proceduresWrite and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval, reporting, batch jobs, and online screens.Integrate between java, SQL, web services, and windows batch script based on business requirementLiaise with business teams to discuss business requirement and perform feasibility analysisWork with development teams to work out system design, and ensure developed solutions meet requirementsTranslate functional specification into technical specification, and prepare the impact assessment and technical documentPerform unit testing and system integration testing before deliver system to next phaseSupport user acceptance testing and provide workable solution or workaround if any issuesReview and ensure standard practice of system technical design are followProvide 2nd level production and incident support, work closely with system analyst support and other integrated systemsSupport on IT Risk findings, Infra and disaster recovery activitySupport end of day batch job and month end closing if requiredSupport product launch, projects and other digital initiatives when requiredRole :
The developer is responsible for technical design, development, enhancement, maintenance including manage system implementation and root cause and analysis troubleshooting.The role is expected to involve in business requirement and system improvement which required to work with business teams and cross units within IT department.Developer is responsible of implementation, execution and providing solution to all initiatives propose by the IT and business strategy.Also to support on application activities / maintenances and take up the incident tickets.The role is expected to facilitate system integration with various applications while always looking for improvement to the overall system architecture and user experience.Also to prepare technical and support document including carrying out user training on new implementation.The role is expected to provide analysis on findings raised by IT Risk, advising the pro and cons for available options for IT to consider.The developer should be a team player who is able to work with internal and external parties in supporting the complete system development life cycle.This is a developer role which involve with developer tools and consoles to maintain and sustain the code to integrate with multiple environments and multiple applications.There will be a need of reviewing application design best practices, ensuring deliver solutions meet business expectation and adhere to security regulatory guidelines.Additional Skills :
