Molding Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize injection moulding processes for new and existing tools.
• Establish and maintain robust process parameters to ensure part consistency, cycle time efficiency, and quality compliance.
• Analyze and troubleshoot moulding issues such as flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, and dimensional inaccuracies.
• Collaborate with tooling, quality, and production teams on mould trials, new tool validations (IQ / OQ / PQ), and DOE studies.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for non- conformances and process deviations.
• Support preventive maintenance efforts for moulds and machines to ensure reliable operation.
• Assist in training production staff and process technicians on best practices and new processes.
• Identify opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and waste elimination within the moulding process.
• Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as ISO / quality standards.
