Job description

Work closely with healthcare professionals and prescribers to understand specific patient needs and customize medications accordingly.

Receive medication orders, prepare and compound medications according to physician prescriptions and established compounding protocols and SOPs.

Ensure accuracy and precision in measuring, mixing, and packaging compounded medications.

Communicate effectively with other pharmacy staff to coordinate compounding activities.

Conduct quality control checks on compounded medications to ensure potency, purity, and uniformity.

Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines for compounding practices.

Maintain accurate records of compounded medications, including ingredients, quantities, and formulations.

Complete necessary documentation to comply with regulatory requirements.

Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in compounding techniques.

Provide training and guidance to pharmacy staff on compounding procedures and safety protocols.
