Talent Acquisition Specialist -APAC (Malaysia and Thailand)
We are looking for a skilled Linux System Administrator to manage and support enterprise-level Red Hat and Ubuntu environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ensuring system security and uptime across production and development infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain RHEL and Ubuntu servers (physical and virtual).
- Perform system updates, patch management , and performance optimization.
- Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions following IT security policies.
- Configure and support web servers (Apache, Nginx) , database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL) , and file servers (NFS, Samba) .
- Implement LVM, RAID , and disk management for storage solutions.
- Manage and monitor network configurations (DNS, DHCP, firewall, IP tables).
- Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell / Bash scripting or Python .
- Configure and manage backup and recovery processes using rsync, tar, or snapshot tools.
- Maintain and troubleshoot boot issues, kernel updates, and services .
- Monitor system health and performance using Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana , or similar tools.
- Enforce security hardening (SELinux, firewalld, patching, access control).
- virtualization and cloud environments (VMware, KVM, AWS, or Azure).
- Participate in incident management, problem management , and change management processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and operational procedures.
