You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to product performance, sales trends, customer behavior, and market dynamics. By leveraging your analytical skills and business acumen, you will provide actionable recommendations to enhance product assortment, pricing strategies, and inventory management. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES Data Collection and Management : Gather and organize data from various sources, including sales reports, inventory databases, market research, and customer feedback. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through regular validation and cleansing processes. Analysis and Reporting : Analyze merchandising data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Generate regular reports and dashboards to track KPIs such as sales, margin, inventory turnover, and product velocity. Provide insights into product performance by category, SKU, region, and customer segment. Forecasting and Demand Planning : Develop statistical models and forecasting techniques to predict product demand and sales trends. Collaborate with the demand planning team to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations. Work closely with merchandising managers to develop and refine product assortment strategies based on market trends and consumer preferences. Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark our offerings against key competitors and identify areas for differentiation. Pricing Analysis and Strategy : Analyze pricing data to determine optimal price points for different products, considering cost, competition, and customer willingness to pay. Recommend pricing adjustments and promotional strategies to maximize revenue and profitability. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with marketing, sales, finance, and supply chain teams to align merchandising strategies with overall business objectives. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. KEY REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a retail or merchandising environment. Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, or Tableau. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for accuracy and quality.
