ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (DU13) – Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health

Assistant Professor – Permanent (Malaysian only). Grade DU13.

Salary range : RM6,210.00 to RM14,370.00 (based on experience). Location : Kuantan. Specialization : General Psychiatry. Faculty : Kulliyyah of Medicine, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

Scope & Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
• Develop curricula and course materials that can be used across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with faculty to improve teaching methods and expand knowledge base.
• Set and grade assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Conduct research and publish findings, proposals, journal articles, and books.
• Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and other events within and outside the institution.
• Engage in training opportunities and initiatives at IIUM.
• Provide support to students and colleagues.
• Stay current by reading widely and producing scholarly work.
• May function as a clinical specialist at Hospital
• Guide students on character, behaviour, and moral conduct as a moral educator.
