Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple projects, ensuring all customer and stakeholder requirements are met.
Oversee the development of project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans (manpower, equipment, materials) across all phases of hotel and commercial office developments.
Review and approve project risk assessments to minimize operational risks and ensure smooth and timely project delivery.
Supervise change management processes including design variations, site instructions, and adjustments to schedules or scope of work.
Monitor site work progress and manpower deployment to ensure work complies with construction drawings, timelines, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and authority approvals are obtained as required.
Review and approve all project documentation submitted to authorities and clients.
Oversee procurement and inventory processes to prevent delays due to material or equipment shortages.
Lead regular site meetings with internal teams and contractors to track progress and enforce necessary corrective actions.
Conduct and approve handover inspections; ensure all defects and non-conformities are addressed prior to final project completion.
Review and consolidate weekly progress reports for senior management (not applicable for retail works).
Customer Relationship Management
Collaborate with consultants, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure that all design and technical specifications are implemented accurately.
Attend project site meetings with external stakeholders and ensure required actions are completed to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
Handle customer complaints immediately; investigate root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Supplier and Contractor Relationship Management
Approve the appointment of contractors and contract workers, and assign scopes of responsibility.
Monitor, verify, and evaluate contractor and supplier performance on-site.
Report any non-conformance or issues to the Commercial Manager and recommend appropriate actions.
Leadership and Performance Management
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project teams to achieve project and departmental objectives.
Monitor the performance of project staff, provide coaching where needed, and evaluate development opportunities.
Prepare and submit performance management reports to the Managing Director, and propose areas for improvement or training.
Promote a high-performance culture and ensure accountability within the project teams.
Quality Management System
Ensure adherence to company policies and departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Identify and drive improvements in project execution processes and operational efficiency.
Support internal departments to ensure overall customer satisfaction and compliance with requirements.
Oversee accurate documentation and record-keeping within the Project department.
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
Education
Degree or Master in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of relevant site and project management experience.
At least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role.
Proven track record in delivering hotel and commercial office development projects .
Skills
Strong leadership and team management skills.

In-depth knowledge of construction / renovation procedures and materials, particularly for hotel and commercial office developments.
