Opportunity
The Event Specialist plays a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of SPE events across the APAC region. Reporting to the Senior Event Manager, the role manages assigned projects, ensures operational excellence and delivers a seamless event experience.
Responsibilities
- Overall Project Manager : lead end‑to‑end event planning and execution.
- Program Development : collaborate with committees to develop high‑quality content, curate topics and design engaging sessions.
- Marketing & Promotion : produce marketing materials, social media and email outreach to expand event outreach.
- Event Planning & Coordination : manage travel arrangements, meeting agendas, and event briefs.
- Venue & Logistics : select venues, manage set‑up logistics, and conduct site inspections.
- On‑site Support : ensure smooth registration, AV arrangements and act as an event ambassador.
- Sponsorship & Exhibition Management : support sales and sponsor activations.
- Post‑Event Management : compile statistics, budget monitoring and financial compliance.
- Systems & Administration : maintain event databases and record‑keeping.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 8 years of direct experience in professional conference or event management.Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines.Experience in conference program development, production and committee coordination is an advantage.Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.Ability to balance multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and take ownership of specific operational projects.Additional Attributes for Success
