Job Summary

Supports food preparation in all sections of the kitchen. Helps ensure food is consistent, hygienic, and efficiently produced for multiple outlets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all food prepared and served meets the company's quality and consistency standards.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness across the entire kitchen.
  • Assist in cooking and preparing dishes according to standardized recipes and guidelines.
  • Support daily batch cooking and high-volume food production needs.
  • Check the quality of incoming ingredients and store them according to company specifications.
  • Help control food waste by :

a. Keeping food inventory at optimal levels and meeting budgeted food cost.

b. Using surplus ingredients wisely without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.

c. Practicing proper portion control.

  • Understand and follow all company rules and kitchen regulations.
  • Promote a safe work environment and prevent accidents in the kitchen.
  • Keep your workstation clean, organized, and in line with HACCP food safety standards.
  • Maintain consistent portion sizes and plating standards for all outgoing dishes.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and promptly report any issues or breakdowns.
  • Follow all hygiene and sanitation protocols set by the company and health authorities.
  • Participate in stock checks and assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.
  • Support and guide junior kitchen staff or commis when needed.
  • Properly label, store, and rotate ingredients and prepared food items.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to meet deadlines and reduce food waste.
  • Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional kitchen experience (high-volume preferred).
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Flexible with shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to fully taste and handle all ingredients used in the kitchen, including pork and alcohol-based items.

    Pay : RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
