Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attaining career goals, motivates individuals to achieve results, and recruits and maintains a high quality staff.
• Assists in and / or develops departmental budgets and monitors spending. Participates in periodic business metric reviews.
• Assists in and / or determines appropriate staff levels, schedules and resources. Works with other managers to understand priorities and plans resources and time allocation accordingly.
• Prioritizes and manages execution of multiple department projects.
• Monitors and evaluates project and department progress and results.
• Manages Operations functional deliverables and ensures technical excellence for product development.
• Maintains and enhances cross-functional team relationships.
• Works cross-functionally in identifying and resolving production / engineering issues.
• Supports and / or leads Operations Value Improvement Process (VIP) or Strategic Activity Review (STAR) sponsored projects.
• Develops departmental metrics and objectives and monitors progress.
• Ensures engineering support of production initiatives.
