Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery within manufacturing facility. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance, repair, and upkeep to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of both electrical and mechanical engineering principles to ensure the efficient functioning of equipment and machinery. Additionally, they are tasked with managing a team of maintenance technicians, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and adhering to safety regulations
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership :
- Lead and manage a team of electrical and mechanical technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Assign tasks / projects members, ensuring optimal utilization of skills and resources and equitable distribution of workload.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for skill development.
2. Maintenance Planning and Scheduling :
Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, including power distribution, control panels, and wiring.Diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.Manage the maintenance and upkeep of mechanical equipment and machinery, such as extruders, sheathing lines, and spoolers.Perform routine inspections to identify mechanical issues and coordinate repairs as necessary.Implement preventive maintenance measures to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.3. Equipment Inspection and Repair :
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.Coordinate with technicians to perform repairs, replacements, and adjustments as necessary.Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards during repairs.4. Preventive Maintenance Program :
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for both electrical and mechanical systems.Schedule regular inspections, lubrication, and calibration activities to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment history for analysis and planning.5. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving :
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or malfunctions, diagnosing root causes and implementing effective solutions.Coordinate with technicians to troubleshoot complex issues and restore equipment functionality.Develop and implement effective solutions to resolve technical issues and minimize downtime.Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address recurring problems and improve equipment reliability.6. Inventory Management :
Maintain adequate inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and supplies for maintenance activities.Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of necessary components.Monitor inventory usage and implement cost-saving measures where possible.7. Safety and Compliance :
Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.Stay abreast of regulatory requirements related to equipment maintenance and safety.Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices among team members.8. Budget Management :
Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, including labor, materials, and external services.Monitor spending and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Prepare regular reports on budget performance and variance analysis.9. Communication and Collaboration :
Foster open communication channels within the maintenance team and with other departments.Collaborate with production, quality control, and engineering teams to address cross-functional issues.Provide timely updates to management on maintenance activities, challenges, and achievements.Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).Proven experience in maintenance management (especially in both electrical and mechanical system), preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in maintenance planning and scheduling software.Understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skillsQualified and interested candidates may apply online or email your resume to :
