Job Overview
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons in accordance with the Cambridge Primary Mathematics curriculum.
Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs, interests, and abilities of all students.
Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Integrate Islamic values, ethics, and examples into lessons where appropriate.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students in line with school and Cambridge assessment guidelines.
Prepare students for Cambridge Primary Checkpoint exams.
Classroom & Student Management
Establish a positive, orderly, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning and character development.
Manage classroom behavior in line with the school’s discipline policies.
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and provide feedback to parents and school management.
Participate in the development, review, and continuous improvement of the mathematics curriculum.
Select and develop appropriate teaching resources and materials in accordance with the syllabus.
Stay up-to-date with changes and updates to the Cambridge curriculum.
Pastoral & Islamic Integration
Serve as a positive role model for students in behavior, dress, and Islamic conduct.
Incorporate moral and ethical discussions, aligned with Islamic teachings, into classroom activities.
Support the spiritual, social, and emotional well‑being of students.
Communication & Reporting
Maintain regular communication with parents regarding students’ academic performance and behavior.
Submit timely and accurate student reports, records, and other documentation as required.
Professional Development
Engage in continuous professional learning and attend training programs, workshops, and Cambridge curriculum updates.
Collaborate with colleagues in sharing best practices and improving teaching standards.
To adhere to all rules and instructions issued periodically by the school administration and academic team.
Co-curricular Activities
Actively participate in school events, activities, and enrichment programs.
Lead or assist in extra‑curricular clubs, debate teams, or language‑focused activities.
Organize and participate in ECA / CCA activities.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage).
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in IGCSE Mathematics.
Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus and assessment criteria.
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
Passionate about teaching and committed to student success.
Familiarity with digital teaching tools and online platforms is a plus.
