Job description3-5 years of editing experience (short-form, social-first, results-driven) Portfolio that shows range : hook-y edits, performance content, aesthetic storytelling. You understand brand ‘vibes’ and know how to translate a brand’s vibe and personality into their video content. Strong portfolio of work done for DTC lifestyle brands. Comfortable using editing tools like Davinci Resolve, Final Cut, Premiere, After Effects Experience with (or hungry to learn about) AI tools for voiceovers, generation, or workflow automation Strong eye, fast pace, low ego. You need everything scoped down to the second. You can edit, but don’t really care about how content performs. You’ve not done work for brands before. Competitive salary based on your experience. We’re looking for a short-form Video Editor who can think in hooks, live in b-roll timelines, and produce polished content that feels sharp, human, and on-brand. You’ll be working on ads, reels, TikToks, Shorts, and UGC-style content for ecommerce brands.
What You'll Do
- Edit short-form vertical videos (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) with taste, rhythm, and strong storytelling.
- Add captions, motion, music, and visual treatments that match each brand’s voice and audience.
- Collaborate with creative leads and strategists to hit content goals.
- Stay on top of trends and use AI tools to speed up or enhance your work (e.g. ElevenLabs for VO, Sora2, Veo3 for footage).
- Work autonomously : no hand-holding, no long meetings or 20-slide brief decks. Just clarity and context, then own the full edit - from cuts to captions, motion graphics to sound design.
- Suggest edits, flag gaps, bring ideas to the table.
