About the Role
Turn
threat / problem information into clear, actionable intelligence
for frontline teams. You’ll analyse patrol data, sensor feeds, interviews and open sources, then ship
maps, heat maps, and concise briefs
that guide patrol tasking, risk mitigation, and management decisions. What You’ll Be Doing
Run
problem / threat analyses
(poaching routes, access points, illegal extraction, conflict). Produce
weekly risk briefs
and
monthly threat bulletins ; capture lessons in post-op notes. Maintain clean data flows for
SMART patrol data , sensors, interviews, and OSINT. Prepare
map packs
for briefings; help run debriefs with clear actions / owners. Track effectiveness of interventions (before / after indicators) and recommend adjustments. Collaborate with the
Wildlife Analyst
to align protection with wildlife evidence. Liaise professionally with partner agencies / NGOs; keep
audit-ready evidence folders . What We’re Looking For (Requirements)
Bachelor’s / Master’s in
Criminology, Psychology, Conservation / Environmental Science, Social Science, Data / GIS
(or related). 2–3+ years
relevant analytical experience (crime / problem analysis or protection analytics). Working knowledge of
GIS
(QGIS / ArcGIS),
SMART
workflows. (Basic R / Python a plus.) Strong critical thinking and the ability to turn data into
clear recommendations . Field-ready
for occasional deployments; disciplined documentation and partner comms. Bahasa Malaysia
required; workable
English . Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience integrating
SMART patrol
and
wildlife
datasets. Exposure to
problem-oriented analysis , hotspot / route mapping, or intervention M&E. Familiarity with sensor workflows (camera / acoustic) and simple QA checks. Prior work with government / NGO / university partners. Why You Should Apply
