UI / UX Designer

Construction is one of the least digitalized industries. Contractors often work in silos, facing high risks and incurring significant costs and resource wastage.

Our client, based in Kuala Lumpur, is a leading provider of cloud-based construction management software. Their comprehensive products encompass material procurement, main claim and contract management, subcontractor claim control and management, and financial report automation. Their technology is designed by contractors, for contractors, and can connect and empower different stakeholders in construction businesses with important information to facilitate faster and more consistent decision‑making. Their products are specifically designed to meet individual customer needs, enabling customers to see costs before they occur and helping them manage risks more effectively.

As a UI / UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user‑friendly interfaces, designing mockups and prototypes, and collaborating with developers to implement front‑end designs.

This is a full‑time role primarily based in the Kuala Lumpur office, but there is some flexibility for remote work.

The Role

• Own the UX / UI Strategy – translate complex construction workflows into intuitive, user‑friendly interfaces that solve real problems.
• Solve Real‑World Challenges – understand users' jobs, workflows, and pain points to create seamless digital experiences that drive productivity.
• Lead Design Decisions – clearly articulate and defend design choices based on research, user needs, and business objectives.
• Collaborate with Engineering & Product Teams – work closely with developers to ensure feasibility and optimize technical trade‑offs.
• Improve & Iterate – design for long‑term software success, ensuring the product evolves to meet user needs over time.
• Develop Frontend‑Friendly Designs – basic knowledge of HTML / CSS is preferred to help bridge the gap between design and development.
• Mockups, visual design, and prototyping skills.
• User Experience Design (UED) and front‑end development skills.
• Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
