The Technical Solution Architect is a technical expert who bridges the gap between sales and technical teams, playing a crucial role in winning new business. Customer-Needs Assessment
- Work closely with sales representatives to understand customer business requirements, pain points, and desired outcomes.
- Conduct thorough discovery sessions to gather technical and business context.
- Identify potential opportunities and challenges for product implementation.
Solution Development & Demonstration
Craft compelling and tailored solutions based on customer needs.Develop and deliver engaging presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (POCs).Configure and customize product environments to showcase specific features and benefits.Articulate the value proposition and technical advantages of the company's offerings.Technical Expertise
Maintain deep knowledge of the company's products, services, and technologies.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and the competitive landscape.Provide technical guidance to sales teams and customers.Address technical questions and concerns effectively.Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams.Assist in the creation of proposals, RFPs (Request for Proposals), and SOWs (Statements of Work).Provide feedback to product teams based on customer interactions.Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.Process Improvement
Identify and implement improvements to the presales process.Develop and maintain presales materials, such as demos, presentations, and case studies.Track presales activities and report on key metrics.Job Requirements
What will I need to ace this role?
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.Master’s degree preferred for more senior roles.Experience
Mid-Level : 3–5 years of experience in a presales or related role with a proven track record of success.Senior Level : 5+ years of experience in a presales leadership role, with expertise in a specific industry or technology.Experience working with Cloud Providers, System Integrators, and Infrastructure Providers.Technical Skills
Strong understanding of Cloud Solutions, Cloud Infrastructure, On-Premises Infrastructure, and Managed Services Solutions.Ability to architect Cloud Solutions and Cloud Infrastructure.Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues and providing effective solutions.Communication & Soft Skills
