Job description

Design and manage the environment for non-prod environment for consumption of the engineering team.

Provide a robust and scalable environment for hosting backend and web applications developed by internal developers in RHB Digital.

Work with Cloud / Platform Architect to orchestrate the provisioning, load balancing, dynamic configuration, monitoring, and spend optimization of servers across cloud providers, data centers, and availability zones.

Increase the service reliability by establishing standards in environment management.

Improve Application Lifecycle Management of the product by having aggressive checks while delivering it frequently.

Be the automation expert. Automate as much as possible. You may need to develop plugins for the tools.

Identify and resolve problems related to the environment to ensure BAU.

Bring production up to speed with reliable environment. Ensure non-production and production environment configurations are in sync and identify and surface gaps if any.

Review contribution of others in contributing changes to your environment.

Treat the environment like a product and serve its users in as-a-service mode. Your team ensures the developers and testers can use your product happily and you make sure by eliminating toils they won't need to bug you for manual intervention unless necessary.

Plan, design, prototype and implement shifting of digital workloads from on-premise VM to containers, and eventually to cloud.

Own the pipeline for product delivery, automation testing, and releases in order to improve reliability and to provide faster deployment cycles.

Work as an integrated part of the software engineering organization, understanding the application architecture.

Manage development of internal engineering productivity tools and be responsible for development and operation of continuous integration and deployment pipeline.

Bring innovation into process by implementing automated mechanism to eliminate manual tasks.

Implement service monitoring alongside logs monitoring for auditable / traceable infrastructure

Incorporate static analysis and test to ensure the integrity of deployment artifacts

Shift environment management from traditional environment to be scalable, auditable and traceable

Develop a pipeline standard where they are able to be deployed to new project.

Change the way of release by delivering automation in software release process in RHB

Contribute to IT modernization to get RHB Group to adapt deployment automation

Connect multiple tools to foster wider range of automation

Deliver collaboration project with security / test / infra in Group Technology (IT)

Buddy new joiners / assignees in the COE SRE to scale DevOps Engineers in RHB

Contribute new knowledge to Chapter and the industry in form of talks or articles
