Responsibilities The AWS Infrastructure System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's AWS cloud infrastructure. This role involves ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability, while supporting the deployment and operation of cloud-based services. The position demands strong technical skills, a proactive approach to troubleshooting, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor AWS infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
Perform system administration tasks, including configuration, patch management, and backups.
Implement security measures to protect cloud systems and data.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues within AWS environments and services.
Support the automation of infrastructure provisioning and maintenance.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and deploy scalable solutions.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
Provide support and guidance to other team members on AWS best practices.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and processes.
Stay informed about AWS advancements and suggest improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in system administration with a focus on AWS environments.
Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, and IAM.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch and logging tools like ELK / CloudTrail.
