Senior Tax Specialist

Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced tax professional to join our team as a Senior Tax Specialist . This role is responsible for managing direct / indirect tax compliance and advisory, supporting transfer pricing, stamp duty matters and tax-related projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and excellent stakeholder management skills. This is a newly created position, offering an exciting opportunity to shape the role and contribute to the development of the tax function.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate submission of Tax returns in compliance with Malaysian tax laws.
• Provide Tax advisory to business units on transactions and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with internal departments, external consultants, and tax authorities on tax matters, audits, and queries.
• Assist in the preparation and review of Transfer Pricing documentation, ensuring alignment with the relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Provide Stamp Duty advisory and compliance support for relevant transactions.
• Support tax-related projects and assignments, including process improvements, system enhancements, and tax planning initiatives.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation, assess business impact, and recommend appropriate actions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for all tax filings, correspondence, and advisory work.
