Overview

About Us MKJR is a high-level platform established in 1954 and registered under the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in 1963. MKJR brings together government agencies, industry partners, and the community to implement and support comprehensive road safety initiatives nationwide. Guided by the National Road Safety Plan 2022–2030, MKJR works collaboratively to strengthen policies, programs, and public engagement towards achieving safer roads for all Malaysians.

Role Overview

The Executive Director is responsible for managing and coordinating MKJR's national road safety initiatives. This role entails strategic leadership, operational oversight, and stakeholder engagement to advance MKJR’s vision of achieving zero road traffic fatalities in Malaysia. The Executive Director will report directly to the Secretary General and work closely with the Executive Committee, state-level MKJRs, and various governmental and non-governmental partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Secretary General in developing and implementing MKJR’s policies, strategic plans and systems in alignment with the National Road Safety Plan 2022–2030 and the Safe System Approach.
• Ensure effective governance by facilitating regular meetings, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM), and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Program Management & Operations

Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of MKJR’s programs and activities.
