JOB DESCRIPTION :

To lecture / teach the course(s) assigned and cover the syllabi outlined for the assigned course(s) in a logical and readily understood sequence, and in accordance with students' assignment requirements.

To assist students in the understanding of the topics covered and generally to prepare them for their final examinations.

To guide students in the understanding of assignment requirements.

To answer student queries on academic matters relating to the unit promptly.

To set and mark assessments (quiz, test, assignments, examinations) for students.

To develop and update course materials as required.

To attend staff meetings as deemed necessary by the Head of the Department.

To give students regular guidance to assist the progress of their academic achievement.

To counsel students on appropriate career / academic direction on completion of their course.

To conduct research in areas as per discussion with Head of Department and publish papers and present papers at conference.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• A Master’s Degree in a related field and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and / or a Professional Accounting qualification
• At least 5 years working experience as an academic at the tertiary level.
• Experience in supervising students' academic research / dissertation at undergraduate and / or postgraduate level.
• Published academic research in ranked journals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of MQA standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and others.
