We are hiring a Head of Engineering to lead all technical delivery and engineering capability across our mobile apps, backend systems, and assessment technology — ensuring reliability, security, and velocity as the platform continues to scale and deepen its capabilities.

This role reports to the CEO.

Role Purpose

Lead the engineering function to deliver a secure, stable, high-performance mobile testing platform while advancing our technical foundations for AI-driven scoring, integrity, and automation. Ensure disciplined engineering practices, strong execution, and a culture focused on quality, reliability, and trust.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Set and evolve the platform’s technical direction and architectural standards.
• Ensure reliability, security, scale, performance, and maintainability across all systems.
• Drive modern engineering practices : CI / CD, automation, observability, monitoring, and secure development.
• Oversee all EnglishScore’s platform contracts
