Overview
Our client based in Subang Jaya is currently hiring a Financial Controller who is responsible for the full spectrum of financial operations, reporting, and statutory compliance. This role requires a strategic, commercially astute, and hands-on leader who can drive financial performance, manage risk, and provide insightful analysis to support key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all finance and accounting operations , including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, costing, and fixed assets.
- Manage the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., MFRS, IFRS) and local regulations.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including comprehensive P&L , Balance Sheet , and Cash Flow projections.
Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure strict adherence to local tax regulations (e.g., corporate tax, SST) and company financial policies.Manage external audits and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory bodies.Establish, implement, and monitor strong internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.Manage treasury and working capital to ensure optimal cash flow and liquidity.Business Analysis & Strategic Support
Conduct in-depth business analysis on key performance indicators ( KPIs ) such as profitability, cost management, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) ROI.Provide financial modelling and analysis for feasibility studies on new projects, investments, and business expansion opportunities.Develop pricing models and control systems to quantify the impact of sales volume, price, and cost of goods on margins.Act as a Finance Business Partner to operational departments, offering financial guidance to drive efficiency and performance.Qualifications and Requirements
Education & Professional Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent .Professional qualification is mandatory (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA member ).Minimum of 8 to 12 years of progressive financial experience , with at least 5 years in a management / people-leadership role (Financial Manager or Assistant Financial Controller level preferred).A career foundation in external audit is highly advantageous.Skills & Attributes
