Manager, Data Analytics (Great Eastern Takaful Berhad)

Responsibilities

Analyse large datasets, create and maintain data visualisations and dashboards to inform strategic planning and sound business decisions. Work closely with business teams to understand functional and technical requirements to address business needs and challenges. Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices in data management and governance. Lead or support data or AI-related projects and provide actionable next steps to address business challenges. Conduct research and synthesise findings into plans, processes, and playbooks that are clear and lead to actionable insights. Collaborate with other Great Eastern entities in regional dashboard development cycles—from gathering and proposing business requirements, designing dataflow and data structure, to developing dashboards. Support ad-hoc data analytics and periodic reporting requests. Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or equivalent disciplines that focus on extensive use of data for analysis. Mathematically inclined. Analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence. Experience in artificial intelligence or data science projects is an advantage. Exposure to coding and the ability to use analytical tools is an added advantage. Good written and verbal communication skills. People management skills and strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to deal with all levels of staff, especially senior levels. How you succeed
