The Role
Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Server Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, including cloud-based and on-premise servers. The ideal candidate should have expertise in AWS, dedicated servers, virtualization, and networking to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance of our systems. This role requires a proactive individual with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage complex server environments.
Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, manage, and optimize AWS instances, dedicated servers, and cloud-based infrastructures.
- Monitor server performance, ensure high availability, and conduct regular system audits.
- Configure and maintain Linux and Windows servers, including CentOS, Ubuntu, and Windows Server.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Deploy, configure, and manage cloud services including AWS EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, CloudFront, and Lambda.
- Administer and troubleshoot virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM).
- Implement firewall configurations, VPN setups, and access control policies.
- Conduct regular security assessments, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management.
- Configure and manage DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancers, and network firewalls.
- Manage and optimize MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Work closely with developers to deploy and maintain web applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Develop Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripts to automate server and network tasks.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Provide Tier 2 / 3 support for system-related issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
