Responsibilities 

Supervise testing, maintenance, and record-keeping of all fire life safety systems (e.g., sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers, elevators).

Ensure all equipment complies with local fire regulations and SLIM standards.

Conduct regular life safety training and emergency drills for all hotel employees.

Lead training for the Emergency Response Team including hands-on firefighting equipment use.

Monitor and maintain fire compartmentation integrity across hotel premises.

Report and resolve breaches in fire safety within 12 hours of detection.

Ensure escape stairways and emergency exits are always clear and accessible.

Implement and monitor the hotels adherence to the Shangri-La International Management Safety & Loss Manual.

Maintain positive working relationships with local fire and safety authorities.

Qualifications

Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Diploma preferred).

Fire Life Safety Management certification by a recognized authority or equivalent.

Passed internal SLIM Engineering & FLSM assessments.

Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical or fire safety engineering.

Strong understanding of local fire codes and safety regulations.

Hands-on knowledge of fire alarm systems, suppression systems, and emergency protocols.
