Basic salary : Between RM6,.00 to RM14,.00 (depends on experience)

Kulliyyah (Faculty) : Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences
Location : Kuantan
2. Scope
The staff shall be a member of the staff of the Kulliyyah / Centre / Department to which they are assigned by IIUM. The staff shall perform teaching, examining, and research duties and other obligations as are normally required of an academic staff member of IIUM.
The staff should also undertake moral and religious obligations in relation to colleagues and students as part of their duties as a member of the academic staff of IIUM.
The staff shall attend meetings of IIUM Authorities, Boards, and Committees to which they may be appointed by virtue of the IIUM Constitution, Statutes, Acts, or administrative actions of the Rector, Dean, or Head of the Kulliyyah / Centre / Department.
The staff is also expected to participate in the general life of the IIUM community and advise and guide students in relation to their character, behavior, and moral conduct. In short, they are not only a teacher (Mu'allim) and a scholar ('Alim) but also a moral educator (Murabbi).
3. Key Responsibilities
a.Preparing and delivering lectures and tutorials
b.Teaching subjects related to Speech-Language Pathology to students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
c.Teaching and supervising Undergraduate and postgraduate students.
d.Developing curricula and course material in line with IIUM’s ‘Sejahtera Academic Framework’ (SAF) and the
Ministry of Education’s ‘Experiential learning and Competency-Based Education Landscape’ (EXCEL).
e.Setting and grading assignments, tests, and exams.
f.Supervising students during clinical attachments and performing clinical duties.
g.Collaborating with other academics and staffs to improve teaching methods and expand the knowledge
base.
h.Conducting research and writing papers, proposals, journal articles, and books.
i.Attending and participating in meetings, conferences, and other events in and outside of the institution.
j.Participating in training opportunities and initiatives at the institution.
k.Working harmoniously with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds Providing support to students and
other colleagues.
l.Performing any administrative duties assigned by the Head of the Department or the Dean
4. Minimum Qualifications
Candidates should have
- A Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology related field (preferably from a recognized university by the JPA / Public Service Department).
- Published work and have background in research.

7. Language Qualifications
All candidates must have obtained :
a. Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English language (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia
SPM) level OR equivalent qualification recognised by the Government (for Malaysian citizens).b. IELTS Band 6 / MUET Band 4.
Candidate without any of these qualifications will be required to sit for the IIUM English Language
Proficiency Test.
