JR55663 Senior Payroll Analyst

We are looking for a high energy and passionate payroll professional, with strong teamwork spirit and integrity to join us as Senior Payroll Analyst, Malaysia.

As a Senior Payroll Analyst for Malaysia Payroll, you will be accountable for Payroll operations mainly in Malaysia, with opportunities for cross countries’ immersion. You will be an individual contributor and support the team in delivering payroll services that are compliant to local statutory regulations, controls, and company policies.

• Ensure payroll (both off cycle and main run) for Malaysia is processed timely and accurately
• Prepare various monthly payroll reports, payroll cost & accrual journal and payment forecast for the Finance Department
• Process the approval of time and attendance in Workday.
• Respond to Team Members (TMs) on payroll enquires via ServiceNow, phone, email, etc.
• Conduct briefing to new hires during Micron Launch on payroll matters such as basic pay, overtime calculation and understanding of items on pay slip
• Responsible for monthly submission for EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF and tax, and other statutory requirements
• Responsible for quarterly statistical submission of gross payroll and payroll headcounts to government, where required
• Ensure timely income tax submission and release of final payment upon income tax clearance letter received from the Income Tax Department
• Ensure the annual EA form is generated and uploaded to PeopleNow timely
• Work with Payroll tax vendor for tax filing matters for authorized assignees
• Have regular operation calls within Payroll team to consistently follow up on payroll related matters
• Manage SAP payroll system and conduct UAT testing
• Attend to auditors' queries during the various audit such as RBA, payroll audit etc
• Draft Mass Communication messages for monthly payroll timeline and other ad-hoc announcements / occasions etc
• Update monthly Payroll metrics for Malaysia
• Review, propose and implement enhanced payroll processes
• To be the backup person for other Malaysia payroll entities
• Support in all ad hoc duty or projects as assigned by supervisor
