General Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join our team. This role requires a strong technical background in mechanical engineering and proven project management skills to lead complex engineering projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions while managing cross-functional teams, timelines, and budgets.
Essential Duties :
- Lead projects through all phases, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
- Collaborate with ODMs on project’s deliverables and come up with Risk mitigation plan to avoid project scope, schedule and cost creep
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and vendors.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and deliver regular project updates to stakeholders, including reports and presentations.
Collaboration and Leadership
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, promoting innovation and efficiency within the team.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).5+ years in a technical project management role.Understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and decision-making capabilities.Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of successful team collaboration.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Knowledge of Chinese will be considered an advantagePreferred
PMP certification or equivalent project management training.Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, ISO).Additional Information
