The Opportunity

You are highly experienced in voice networking, especially VoIP for Service Providers , and passionate about great products, built on well implemented designs.
As a member of one of our Network teams (alongside data network & systems engineers), you will be responsible for the design, build, and engineering support of voice networks & systems across global
Key Responsibilities
- Actively share knowledge with your entire team
- Escalate issues / risks to manager when needed
- Ensure the appropriate consideration is given to testing, security, stability, reliability, and monitoring (within a definition of done)
- Training of new team members
- Level 3 support to customers and other internal teams as required
- Responsible for the operation of the company’s voice network, including : Delivery of all network services (Data, and other hosted services and facilities)Configuration, operations, capacity, and integration of all network infrastructure to provide the highest levels of functionality and serviceMaintain highly available environment – ensure systems are designed and implemented to enable high availability
- Ensure maintenance, upgrades and new implementations are carried out with minimal impact on business and customer operations.
- Contribute to identifying and resolving technical disputes / impediments.
- Responding to escalated / urgent technical issues, as well as outages / alarms / AH.
- Participate in Peer Reviews.
- Responsible for low level design of Platform.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Computer Science / Engineering related degree / diploma4+ years’ experience in a voice engineering role in a Telco / ISP / Large enterpriseVoIP technologies including Session Border Controllers (SBC), VoIP principles , protocols, and codecSignaling Systems and platforms to include STP, C7 / SS7, Sigtran protocols M2PA, M3UA etcStrong fundamental understandings of IP networksExperience in designing large voice networksExperience in troubleshooting complex technical issuesExperience with hardware deployments is an advantageLinux System Administration (especially automation tools ) is desirableStrong verbal and written communication skillsTeam player – good interpersonal skills.Ability to think outside of the box and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.ASW Offers
