Job Purpose

Managing legal risks while balancing commercial pressure and business growth

A.        About the job in summary :

• Contract drafting, review and negotiation for technical and highly regulated products and services with counterparties being banks, payment principals, schemes and blue-chips.
• Give legal and strategic advice on company initiatives including but not limited to new product lines, government awards, AI and data analytics.
• Work closely with the DPO on privacy matters and sensitizing colleagues to such new laws
• Horizon scanning and legal market comparison on Fintech laws i.e. DORA, UK CTP, SOC2 etc.
• Help improve or automate legal operations or introduce processes to streamline day-to-day legal matters i.e. playbooks, templates, productivity tracker etc.
• Training and advising colleagues on an array of matters and working closely with Compliance on governance i.e. AML, ABC, BNM Guidelines etc.
• The process owner for all contracting lifecycle from preliminary review to execution stage.
• Advise internally and work with external counsels on disputes for buy or sell side contracts, regulatory dawn raids, crisis management or AML investigations.
• Track regulatory developments and maintain strong relationships with regulators.
