This role is based in Malaysia and responsible for overseeing commercial contract drafting, negotiation and review of our contracts with domestic and global customers, suppliers and partners, as well as providing remote legal support to the sales and business teams of Singapore Telecommunications Limited based in Singapore.The candidate will act as a strategic legal partner to these business units resolving their legal needs. He / she should demonstrate a strong willingness to engage in developing strategies and also take the lead in resolving legal and commercial challenges.
Make an Impact by :
- Draft, review, negotiate and advise on all aspects of sales, procurement, partnership, and other contracts with customers, suppliers and partners for Singtel’s business units, including such contracts relating to the bids and enterprise sales teams – that are in line with Singtel’s contract policies.
- Pro-actively advise on legal and operational risk issues holistically as part of providing legal advice on the contracts. Recommend changes and best practices.
- Work closely with the various business lines, and relevant stakeholders to provide pragmatic, robust legal solutions consistent with the Singtel Group’s corporate policies.
- Ensure documentation is systematically maintained with adequate processes and policies in place, and that organizational memory is retained, within the corporate business group.
- Collaborate, report to and work under the supervision of the Legal team in Singtel Singapore.
Skills for Success :
Degree in Law and admitted to practice in Malaysia / Singapore or the UMinimum of 4 years PQE gained as in-house lawyer reviewing / negotiating a variety of contracts including NDAs, MOUs, sales and / or procurement contracts.Minimum of 4 years PQE with a reputable commercial law firm.Strong legal analytical skills with a good eye for detail and sound knowledge of general corporate and contract law.Excellent contract drafting skills.Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, and to meet critical deadlines.Able to work well both independently as a legal professional and custodian of the company’s policies and as well as working collaboratively as part of a teamRewards that Go Beyond :
