The Smart Maintenance Suite (SMS)’s vision is to enable plant maintenance excellence globally in BASF. The product aims to improve overall work productivity of plant maintenance workers through a simplified user interface. The solution architect role will meaningfully contribute towards shaping the architecture of a global digital platform and closely collaborate with a diverse team across the globe for a product that is unique and first of its kind in the industry.

Responsibilities and Key Activities :

• Designing scalable and secure solutions leveraging Azure cloud services.
• Architecting and implementing microservices-based applications for improved efficiency and flexibility.
• Collaborating with development teams to integrate Angular and Ionic front-end frameworks.
• Utilizing NestJS for building efficient and maintainable server-side applications.
• Conducting code reviews, providing technical guidance, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Identifying technical requirements, evaluating existing systems, and proposing strategic solutions.
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and present technical solutions.
• Guide and support a team of developers and be a mentor to them.
• Advise and set up DevOps tools as and when business needs require in order to deliver a holistic and stable platform architecture.
