Preparation and review of provisional current and deferred tax computation for statutory audit purposes, and tax estimations / revisions (if any) for submission to the Inland Revenue Board
Manage and monitor a portfolio of clients, and responsible for providing them with a full suite of tax compliance services
Preparation and review of tax computations for the submission of income tax returns to the IRB strictly in accordance to the relevant submission due dates
Lead, guide and manage a team of Tax and Senior Tax Associates and perform review of work completed to ensure accuracy and completeness
Conduct productive liaison with the IRB and other relevant government departments on applications, appeals and audits on tax-related matters
Participate and lead team members in carrying out indirect tax assignments
Participate and lead team members in tax advisory assignments including international tax planning, transfer pricing issues, tax incentives and applications, tax impact on corporate restructuring, cross border transactions, etc
Analyse and implement the relevant newly enacted tax legislations and tax rulings
Job Requirements
Professional accounting qualification / Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of relevant taxation experience, preferably in a Professional Service Firm
Ability to establish good communication skills with the Inland Revenue Board, Royal Malaysian Customs Department and other relevant government departments
Ability to handle and manage several simultaneous assignments
Strong team management, interpersonal and communication skills
Must have client service oriented skills
A good team player and have a positive attitude
Highly organized and reliable with a strong sense of integrity
Excellent communication and written skill in English and Bahasa Malaysia at the least, strong fluency in other languages will be advantageous
