Senior Manager of Business Development
The Senior Manager of Business Development is responsible for driving sustainable financial growth by increasing sales and fostering strong client relationships. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and executing business plans to achieve revenue and gross profit objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership Development : Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and prospective clients to identify partnership opportunities and drive business growth.
- Market Analysis : Conduct high-level industry research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and untapped opportunities, particularly in the insurance and financial services industries.
- New Business Acquisition : Lead the identification, pursuit, and acquisition of new business opportunities, including responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- Solution Consultation : Collaborate with internal technical teams to develop customized solutions that address client needs, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate guidelines.
- Pipeline Management : Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities, utilizing CRM tools to track progress and drive results.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with internal technical and sales teams to ensure alignment in delivering value to clients. Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders.
- Performance Monitoring : Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of business development initiatives and progress toward revenue targets.
- Client Relationship Management (Existing Clients) : Engage proactively with existing clients to understand their evolving needs and business objectives. Address client concerns to maintain strong, long-term relationships.
- Revenue Growth Strategies : Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services to existing clients. Develop innovative solutions and service offerings that add value and increase revenue.
- Client Retention Initiatives : Develop and implement strategies to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and loyalty. Regularly review client accounts to identify risks or areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to minimize churn.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably in the insurance, financial services, or related industries.Proven track record of driving revenue growth and acquiring new business.Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.Experience in managing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract closure.Proficiency in CRM tools and data-driven decision-making.Preferred Qualifications
