Principal Project Consultant – Biomedical (Subang)
Responsibilities
- Support the Associate Director in leading, supervising, motivating and supporting the day-to-day operation, ensuring effective project management execution and alignment with departmental goals, including managing risks and anticipating potential issues.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight in managing and leading complex projects from initiation to closure, including guidance and coaching to the project team.
- Promote a collaborative and team-based culture ensuring positive interactions with other departments within the company.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with objectives and company best practices, and overseeing and coaching project teams’ execution.
- Mentor, guide and provide coaching to project team to optimize performance and achieve project success.
- Contribute to the conceptualization and lead the design and implementation of innovative project strategies and solutions, aligning with the Associate Director’s strategic direction.
- Oversee and review consultants’ development and execution of project plans, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
- Execute assigned tasks with precision and efficiency, ensuring timely delivery within project timelines, while supervising and coaching project teams’ deliverables.
- Provide regular, proactive updates to project stakeholders, consolidating inputs from project team to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommended solutions.
- Conduct in-depth research, literature reviews, evaluations, and analyses, and review work done by consultants for quality, relevance, and coaching opportunities.
- Provide expert insights and support client presentations and discussions, consolidating consultant inputs and providing coaching where needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive proposal development, consolidating and coaching consultant contributions.
Training and Continuous Improvement
Train, guide, and coach project consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance project environment.Develop and deliver materials for training, webinars, seminars, presentations, and demonstrations.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, refining project delivery methods and procedures and analyzing data and trends to develop preventive measures.Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness, guiding consultants in adopting improvements.Stay abreast of trends, rules, regulations, and issues within the healthcare industry, applying them in project leadership and coaching.Share creative thoughts, ideas, knowledge, and experience openly with team members.Others
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by superiors, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 10 to 15 years of project management experience, including at least 3 to 5 years in a managerial role, with a proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects in healthcare facilities, medical equipment planning, or a healthcare consulting firm.Bachelor’s degree in engineering (biomedical preferred) or other healthcare related education with proven track record in consultancy and healthcare industry.Ability to travel frequently (within Malaysia and abroad) required.Highly proficient in English.Ability to work both in a team and independently, responsible, and accountable.Resourceful, good time management, analytical, and mature.Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is an added advantage, but not mandatory.Seniority level
