Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring the effective management of operational risk, regulatory compliance, and governance within treasury operations. This role involves identifying risks, implementing controls, and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. To collaborate with various stakeholders, including treasury front office, risk management, audit, and regulators, to ensure a robust compliance and control environment.

Job Accountabilities

• Risk Management :
• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risk within the Treasury Back-Office.
• Monitor and report key risk indicators (KRIs) to senior management.
• Develop and maintain risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) framework.
• Compliance Management
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practices.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
• Monitor changes in regulations affecting treasury operations and update compliance frameworks accordingly.
• Audit And Control
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audits and timely closure of audit findings.
• Implement corrective actions for control weaknesses or gaps identified during audits.
• Reconciliation & Reporting
• Ensure daily reconciliations of Quantum position and GL tally with Bank GL.
• Ensure monthly regulatory reporting are accurate and reconcile against Bank GL.
• Ensure treasury system report generated and accurate.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Treasury System Support
• Ensure all related interface files are populated correctly with the new products. If not catered for, to raise SR and follow through the SR till implementation.
• Update the required static data on timely basis and to do periodic cleanup of non-active data.
• Support Production related issues in the Dept. Log issues with IT / FIS and follow through till fully resolved.
• Ensure that limits set in AA tally with SIBS. Follow up with RM if there are any discrepancies.
• Training And Awareness
• Conduct training, briefing for back-office staff on risk management and compliance.
• Promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability within the team.
• Other Responsibilities
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Ensure operational manual are reviewed and updated.
• Any other functions as assign by superior.
• Backup job responsibilities – Inter section assistance.
