Job descriptionDrive MFRS implementation projects, support Islamic finance initiatives, and champion system upgrades for reporting efficiency. Provide accounting solutions for treasury products, review reconciliations, and hedge accounting documentation. Oversee documentation and regulatory liaison for transfer pricing and shared service allocations. Prepare and review capital adequacy ratios and support CFO in board-level discussions. Manage annual rating processes with Moody’s, RAM, MARC, and ensure timely reporting to BNM and Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia. Coach and manage a team, support CFO in board matters, and drive automation and internal control improvements. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent Professional qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA or similar) Minimum 7 years in financial institutions and / or audit firms Strong MFRS knowledge Understanding of financial services, treasury products, hedge accounting, and BNM guidelines Familiarity with Islamic and conventional banking systems Excellent communication and analytical skills Opportunity to lead critical finance functions in a dynamic organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Statutory Reporting
- Lead preparation and review of annual and interim financial statements, liaise with external auditors, and ensure compliance with MFRS standards.
- Manage corporate tax returns, liaise with regulators, and oversee Zakat submissions.
