Job Overview
Support the Head of Group Tax in managing tax‑related matters for the Group across all worldwide entities and jurisdictions. Provide recommendations and advisory support for business decisions with tax implications, including mitigation plans or alternative strategies. Offer guidance to manage potential tax exposure or tax disputes effectively. Formulate approaches or processes to incorporate corporate tax considerations into new market expansion or special projects.
Direct and Indirect Taxes
- Oversee all aspects of tax compliance for corporate tax and indirect tax for the Group, managing the Group’s external tax advisors and reviewing tax computations and tax returns, ensuring timely submission of all tax returns.
- Review responses prepared by external tax advisors in relation to tax audits and dispute resolution matters across different jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with local finance team on tax audits and dispute resolution.
- Foster and manage relationships with tax authorities and relevant government agencies in the region.
- Adherence to tax governance, quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and evaluate impact of changes to the Group and advise on tax implications.
- Review transfer pricing documentation at both group and local entity levels prepared by the external tax advisors.
- Enhance processes to align internal stakeholders with transfer pricing guidelines and requirements.
Tax Accounting
Oversee the preparation of monthly tax provisions for Bumi Armada Berhad and its subsidiaries, ensuring adequacy in line with financial reporting requirements.Review tax provision calculations prepared by the team to ensure adequate recognition of current and deferred taxes in the financial accounts.Support quarterly Bursa Malaysia announcements by reviewing and validating tax‑related disclosures which include current and deferred taxes, tax rate reconciliations, ETR, etc.Others

Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance and / or professional qualification.8 to 12 years of working experience within a multinational organisation and / or public accounting firm.Self‑starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem‑solving skills.Resulted oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment.Strong stakeholders’ management, leadership, and project management skills.Experience in MS Office and SAP and proficient in Microsoft Excel.Seniority level
