Position Title : EHS Manager

About the Role
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, systems, and programs that ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards on environment, health, and safety. This role safeguards employees, contractors, and visitors while also protecting company assets and the surrounding community. The EHS Manager acts as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and ensures that risk management, safety culture, and sustainability initiatives are effectively embedded into daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain effective communication with local authorities in safety, environmental protection, fire safety, and occupational health to ensure full legal compliance.
- Identify and interpret Malaysian construction project regulations; supervise the compliance of new, renovation, and expansion projects.
- Establish, implement, and maintain safety management systems (ISO45001, ISO14001) and digital platforms; conduct safety training, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency drills.
- Oversee the full lifecycle management of waste (waste gas, wastewater, solid waste) and ensure environmental compliance for plants and construction projects.
- Identify, assess, and control workplace occupational hazards and health risks; promote employee well-being.
- Manage fire protection equipment and ensure readiness for emergency response.

Qualifications
Education & Certifications
Required : Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.3-5 years of experience in EHS Management or a related role.Preferred : Green Book (Registered Safety Health Officer,SHO)Required Skills
3-5 years of experience of work experience in safety, environmental protection, occupational health, fire protection management, and construction safety management in chemical manufacturing factory.Proficient in safety and environmental management, occupational health management, and fire safety management; familiar with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 systems, and the Level II Standardized Safety Production Management System.Possession of an SHO (Safety and Health Officer) certificate is preferred; knowledgeable in lean production management, energy management systems, and the fundamental concepts and knowledge of dual-carbon (carbon peaking and carbon neutrality).Ability to communicate in Chinese will be an added advantage for coordinating with China-based teams.
