Responsibilities
Manage the purchasing process by sourcing and evaluating new suppliers, negotiating prices, material lead times, and terms, and ensuring adherence to the company's standards for quality, cost, and delivery. Collaborate with various departments to align purchasing activities with company goals and requirements. Support the Material Manager by assisting with the daily activities and operations related to purchasing. Monitor and follow up on material deliveries to ensure timely receipt and address any issues that arise. Prepare and present monthly Supplier Performance Reports, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under stress and be prepared to travel overseas as needed for supplier meetings and inspections. Qualifications & experience
Diploma or bachelor's degree in purchasing and supply chain management. Preferably with several years of experience in a similar field (garment / textile manufacturing). Understanding of core purchasing principles, negotiation techniques, and supplier management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English. Familiarity with material types and specifications relevant to the industry. Efficient in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Capability to ensure accuracy in order placement and contract details. Ability to identify and resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions and supplier performance. Good team player with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and quality departments. Benefits
