Role Purpose :
This is an individual contributor role reporting to APAC Tax Head focusing on tax advisory and tax operational compliance and reporting for all EDPR APAC geographies focusing on Singapore, Australia, Japan, China, Taiwan, Malaysia and other emerging countries in South Asia.
Responsibilities :
Review and monitor the tax compliance status of APAC entities, including review calculation, preparation and submission of all direct and indirect taxes, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any tax audits, disputes, or inquiries from tax authorities.
Provide Tax advice and supports on corporate restructuring, due diligence in M&A and project financing specific to the renewable energy sector in APAC.
Ensure Transfer Pricing Documentations are maintained by APAC entities.
Collaborate with wider finance team and business units to define and implement transfer pricing strategies, tax compliance operating process and tax reporting controls.
Leading and provide tax supports for business operation projects e.g. E-invoicing, GST tax governance review and ERP system implementation
Monitor tax legislation and regulatory changes within the APAC region to ensure compliance and minimize tax risks.
Build strong working relationship with internal stakeholder, Global Business Service (GBS) team, Finance team, treasury, legal and external stakeholders, tax consultants, tax officers and etc.
Requirements :
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields
At least 10 years of working experience (with at least 2-3 years of regional tax experience), preferably 2 to 3 years of Big 4 experience or high-growth, MNC or listed companies
Experienced in regional tax knowledge with APAC (especially Singapore, Australia, Japan)
Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines for multiple concurrent projects across APAC
Self-starter, strong multi-tasking, and project management capabilities
Able to translate technical tax issues into practical business solutions
Excellent communicator who can influence, engage, and build strong relationships & trust at all levels
