Job Description Summary

The purpose of the Connected Med Management Technical Support Specialist (multiskilled) is to assist in resolving complex, time sensitive, and high‑risk issues, which include customer escalations, sites down, remote troubleshooting, and dispatching cases to field service technicians, within a timely and professional manner.

Each CMM specialist is trained to support two core products, ES and PLX or ES and CIISafe. The specialist is also expected to understand the Legacy and NextGen systems from server to station and any integrated connections to other BD products.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve customer escalations, site outages, and remote troubleshooting.
  • Dispatch cases to field service technicians and track resolution.
  • Support two core products (ES / PLX or ES / CIISafe) and understand legacy / NextGen integration.
  • Maintain data quality and integrity in CRM.
  • Document case notes and communications using clear, concise language.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other specialists.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent 4+ years of experience.
  • Microsoft SQL experience (3+ years).
  • CompTIA A+ or N+ preferred.
  • Windows Server (2008+) and Desktop Administration (Win7+).
  • Networking topology and terminology.
  • IIS and Web Application Administration.
  • Active Directory Administration.
  • VMware Administration.
  • Installation of peripherals (scanners, printers).
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions to a non‑technical audience.
  • Experience & Training

  • Three‑week in‑classroom training and shadowing, followed by on‑the‑job training.
  • Second core product training around 6‑9 months, followed by certification exam.
