About Our Client The hiring company is a large organisation within the manufacturing industry known for its solid presence and commitment to excellence. They are seeking a skilled professional to join their accounting and finance team in Kuala Lumpur.

Job Description

Oversee the complete accounting cycle, ensuring month-end and year-end closings are completed on schedule.

Compile and review financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Ensure adherence to local tax laws, including VAT, withholding taxes, and corporate tax submissions.

Manage cost accounting activities such as product cost calculation, inventory valuation, and variance assessments.

Keep accurate records of fixed assets and track their depreciation.

Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Develop and enforce robust internal controls and accounting standards.

Prepare annual budgets and ongoing forecasts, tracking actual results versus planned figures.

Provide financial analysis and modelling to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.

Assist with ERP system upgrades or migrations, ensuring smooth financial data integration.

Lead or contribute to finance-related projects, process enhancements, and automation efforts.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.

Required professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.

At least 8 years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years within a manufacturing setting.

In-depth knowledge of cost accounting and financial operations specific to manufacturing.

Skilled in using accounting software and ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or equivalents.

Solid understanding of IFRS or local GAAP.

Strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.

Capable of working autonomously and managing a small accounting team.
