Purpose

To provide technical remote / on-site support (2nd level), organization of work process and procedure for safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of all electrical equipment installed and operating at our facilities in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore (SEA) and at any other facilities as directed by Regional Electrical Engineering Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and effective implementation of all electrical safe work practices and standards in keeping with worldwide practices.
• Provide and execute training and qualification programs of all plant based operation and maintenance personnel whose duties involve handling and interrogation of electrical equipment such as medium voltage switchgear, low voltage control center and similar equipment.
• Provide technical solutions through remote and / or on-site location support for the safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment to operation and maintenance team; including analysis of equipment operation, troubleshooting of equipment failure, and driving any changes to achieve more reliable operations.
• Ensure safe execution of technical changes and modification to electrical equipment and system as needed for continuous on-stream operation of process equipment and systems.
• Provide technical leadership to plant management team through timely provision of information, drawings, manuals, and other documentation for safe and competent repair and troubleshooting of failed electrical equipment and systems.
• Manage, implement, execute projects and initiatives as directed by Regional Management in conjunction with sub-region Operations Management.
• Active participation in the equipment failure root cause investigation teams, playing a lead role to prevent non-recurrence of equipment failure in all plants.

Independent, self-driven engineer capable of working in a technical supporting role to the maintenance organization, plant management and organization at large.

Able to travel in geographical regions of SEA (Malaysia, Sg & Indonesia) at short notice, and in exceptional cases, travel to other countries in Asia to support local operations.

Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory requirement for this position.
