Essential Job Functions
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in the design, development, and delivery of enterprise‑grade software solutions within the Insurance domain.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams — including architects, product owners, business analysts, and delivery managers — to define project requirements and ensure successful implementation aligned with DXC’s Insurance platform and solutions.
- Provide technical leadership in software architecture, design, and integration, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with DXC’s technology strategy.
- Drive the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, execution, code reviews, and retrospectives.
- Oversee the development of integration frameworks, APIs, and middleware components supporting Insurance core systems, digital transformation, and policy administration platforms.
- Conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings, provide coaching and performance feedback, and foster continuous professional growth within the engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with software engineering standards, quality assurance processes, and secure coding practices.
- Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across engineering teams.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, including at least 3 years in a managerial or technical leadership role.Proven expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and integration design.Hands‑on experience with DXC’s Insurance suite (Integral, iPOS, or equivalent) and understanding of Insurance business processes such as policy administration, claims, billing, and underwriting.Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies, DevOps, CI / CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices.Experience managing multi‑location or distributed teams within a complex delivery environment.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver high‑quality technical solutions aligned with business goals.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Life, General, or Group Insurance system implementations and digital transformation projects within the Insurance sector.Prior experience with DXC’s Insurance products and pre‑sales solutioning.Proficiency in middleware platforms (JBoss, WebSphere, API Gateways, ESB) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern integration architectures.Prior experience working in regional delivery hubs or client‑facing roles across APAC.Learn more about DXC and what we do : DXC offerings
