Job descriptionMinimum 3 years of experience as a Draftsman in the construction industry Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing or other Construction Engineering Candidates fluent in Mandarin and English (Verbal and Writing) preferred. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients. Proficiency in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs Strong technical drawing and design skills, with the ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications Willing to short and long term domestics and oversea travel Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for professional development and career advancement Supportive and collaborative work environment
About the role
Yankey Engineering (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Draftsperson to join our team in George Town, Penang. As a full-time Draftsperson, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of various construction projects, contributing to the overall success of our organisation.
What you'll be doing
- Interpreting and translating design concepts into detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Producing 2D and 3D drawings, sketches, and models to support the design and construction processes
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and compliance of drawings
- Maintaining and updating design documentation and records
- Providing technical support and advice to construction teams on-site
- Staying up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
