Project Engineer - System

As a Project Engineer (Systems), you will play a key role in executing and delivering various industrial digitalization and control system projects. Your responsibilities will include planning, designing, developing, and deploying integrated solutions involving PLC, SCADA / HMI, Industrial Software Applications, IT & networking, and cloud-based technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Study project specifications to understand customer requirements.
• Liaise with customers, vendors, and principals to address technical and commercial issues.
• Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
• Procure project materials, equipment, and manpower on a timely basis.
• Control project costs to minimize non-conformance expenses.
• Perform engineering and software design work based on project specifications, such

Industrial automation and control system design, which involve PLC programming, SCADA / HMI development, and control panel design.

Functional Design Specification (FDS)

Education & Experience :

Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or other relevant discipline.

Skill / Knowledge & Requirements :

Proficient knowledge of and experience with IT & Networking, Cloud technology (e.g. Microsoft Azure), IIoT solutions, PLC & SCADA programming, Control System design and Project Management.

Demonstrates a willingness to learn new knowledge and the ability to acquire new skills as needed.

Demonstrates the ability to resolve issues efficiently, with strong problem-solving skills that include anticipating, identifying, and addressing challenges independently.

Given the project-driven nature of the role, candidates must be capable of working under high pressure and willing to work irregular hours when necessary.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for meeting and reports writing.

Expected to travel around Malaysia and overseas to execute and support onshore and offshore projects.

Required language(s) : Bahasa Malaysia, English.
