The Humanitarian Field School (HFS) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the MRC’s Humanitarian Field School initiatives. This role involves managing donor reporting, coordinating internal and external meetings, supervising the construction of HFS facilities, and supporting business development to ensure the sustainability and growth of the HFS programme.
Duties & Responsibilities
Programme Coordination & Management
- Oversee the implementation of the HFS project activities in line with MRC’s strategic objectives and donor requirements.
- Develop and maintain the HFS workplan and ensure timely delivery of outputs.
- Coordinate logistics, procurement, and operations related to HFS activities.
Donor Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and submit high-quality narrative and financial reports to donors and partners in accordance with agreed timelines and requirements.Ensure compliance with donor agreements and MRC policies in the management of HFS funds and activities.Maintain documentation and records for audit purposes.Meeting Coordination
Organize and facilitate meetings related to HFS, including steering committees, donor briefings, partner consultations, and internal coordination meetings.Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action points.Construction Management
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities to manage the construction of the HFS facilities.Monitor construction progress, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and report on milestones.Address challenges and risks associated with construction activities.Business Development
Support the development of a sustainable business model for HFS, including identifying income-generating opportunities.Contribute to proposal writing, partnership development, and fundraising initiatives for the HFS.Build and maintain relationships with partners, donors, academic institutions, and other stakeholders.Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning
Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for HFS activities.Document best practices, lessons learned, and impact stories for internal learning and external communication.Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Education, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
